We bought this filter because the refrigerator need filter light came on. After we purchased this replacement filter, we learned that because we have an RO unit, this filter is 'overkill' and not necessary. So we have since removed it (put the plug in). There is no taste difference. Didn't need it. DO YOU HAVE AN RO SYSTEM? IF SO- SAVE YOUR MONEY- YOU DON'T NEED THIS.
